What a weekend! There are few things better than getting out on the open road, and this past Saturday was one for the books.
The day started at Thunder Road Cafe in Hollywood, a fitting spot for the beginning of a great ride. Kick stand up or KSU was at 10:30AM. We were meeting up with the Beach Side Moto Group for one of their monthly group rides. The turnout was absolutely epic – well over 100 motorcycles gathered. The energy was incredible, a shared sense of excitement buzzing through the crowd. I was lucky enough to have two of my good friends join the ride, and I had my girlfriend with me, riding 2-up.
Once everyone was ready, the massive pack of bikes roared to life. We thundered through the streets of Beverly Hills, making our way up to Glendale. Our destination? The Brew Yard brewery. It was a sight to behold, seeing that many bikes rolling together, a testament to the amazing community that motorcycling builds. The brewery was a perfect midday stop, offering a great atmosphere to relax, chat with fellow riders, and enjoy tacos.
For the ride home, we decided to take the scenic route. Catching Las Virgenes Road down to the iconic Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). There’s nothing quite like cruising along the coastline with the ocean breeze (it was very windy that day) and the sound of your engine. It was the perfect way to unwind after the excitement of the large group ride.
The final stop of the day was at It’s in the Sauce BBQ in Oxnard. Our first time there and the food was fantastic and a perfect end to the day.
Rides like this are more than just about the destination; they’re about the community, the freedom of the road, the shared experiences with friends, and the delicious food along the way. I can’t wait for the next one.
